WORLD PREMIERE
WATERSONG
by Shannon Jensen
A dry creek bed lies still, slowly dying, mirroring the fractured relationship of the Joinbee Family who grew up along its banks. Three generations, separated by secrets and shame, return home one last time.
And the Women are waiting.
"Little Girl keeps coming. Reminding me that times almost up."
WaterSong is an extraordinary new play by local playwright Shannon Jensen and was selected for Sydney's esteemed Yellamundie Festival in 2023. This premiere event, mentored through TheatreiNQ's PlayGround Writers Festival, promises to be a celebration of family and the ties that bind.
