Born in Monto, Brendan began his career as a founding member of what was then known as TROPIC LINE THEATRE under the direction of the late Jean-Pierre Voos, where he also performed in the first Townsvillle Shakespeare Under the Stars event. Moving to Melbourne to further his career, Brendan spent almost twenty years performing with the Australian Shakespeare Company under the direction of Glenn Elston including playing Petrucchio in TAMING OF THE SHREW, Sir Toby Belch in TWELFTH NIGHT, Tybalt in ROMEO AND JULIET, Don John in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, his critically acclaimed PUCK in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, Macduff in MACBETH and the title role in RICHARD III. His career has spanned alomostin Melbourne also included extensive work in Television, Film and well-known Commerical Advertising.
Brendan returned to Townsville, with his partner Terri Brabon, in 2012 to maintain the tradition of Shakespeare Under the Stars, establish a professional theatre company in TheatreiNQ and to create The Bridge Project training programme so emerging regional artists would continue to have an opportunity to grow and thrive.
